50th Birthday Celebrations!
Family Picnic - Saturday 23rd June 2018
Pre-school has been running in Oakley since 1968, which makes this our 50th year! Our staff and committee worked hard to prepare a wonderful celebration for June 2018 and we were delighted to have the company and support of many friends and pre-schoolers, both past and present who made this a wonderful occasion.
Many people took part in a balloon race, enjoyed the bouncy castle, took a pony ride on George, had a go on the tombola or treated themselves to a glitter tattoo! The Pimms and Prosecco tent went down rather well too! Everybody enjoyed their picnics and the very special guest appearance by Peppa Pig; her friend Bob the builder bear came along to celebrate with us too! Bob is of course helping us with the plans for the new build! As we continue to strive for excellence for the village and it's children we would love your help and support in continuing to raise funds to help us build a new Pre-school! Easter Egg Hunt
Fast approaching is Easter and of course our Easter Egg Hunt! Everyone is very welcome to collect a form from the Oakley Village Post Office, at £3 each and go hunting for all the clues. When you finish the hunt please return your completed form back to the Pre-school as there is a surprise waiting for you. Good luck.
Furry Visitors
Some lovely furry visitors arrived at Pre-school Thursday afternoon. As part of our 'people who help us' weeks, we have discussed vets and how they help to keep our animals healthy. The children used varied vocabulary to discuss the different animal visitors.
